Classic imp with K-Series powerWe all love the classics but in recent years some of them have been "re-born", the 3 main ones here are the BMW MINI, VW Beetle and the Fiat 500.

On the PPC Forum members have been chatting about what models they would like to see next, or indeed how they would like them too look, one of the coolest concepts was of a New IMP!

Would you have your classic re-born with a new shape or just new and upto date  running gear? The options are endless really however....

Practical Performance Car £999 ChallengePPC's £999 challenge draws in all kinds of people and cars, from the outright wacky to some very tasty cars, This "PPC £999 Focus" is all about Will aka"Renrut".

"It'll be my 3rd year doing the PPC £999 Challenge. First year was in a mk1 MR2 which managed to run all day on no water and still turn in a 16s quarter. Last year I used (abused?) a Fiat Seicento sporting. It was standard except for a lot of interior stripping. It did well for a £300 54bhp car, a great hoot to drive but it wasn't enough to even get in the top 15 finishing places.

Looking forward to this years challenge I looked up my options. I didn't look far as the value of a Seicento was still only about £500, even with 10 months MOT, and it weighs close to nothing so a good starting point for a build.

When trying to decide what to do with it, my brother offered me a Honda VTR1000 1000cc bike engine for £300 including "all the bits to make it run". I've since discovered what he meant was "most of the bits to make it run"...
